Meet Krystal and her gurus,

Charlie and Beanie.

I do consider my terriers to be my spiritual teachers.

I got my personal wellness act together for Charlie and Beanie.

They are my angels and my fitness buddies.

For starters: Jack Russell Terriers are not for the faint of heart.

In 2015 I went through a divorce, a cross-country relocation, finding a sober identity, while working an exhausting job, and then there were these two ridiculously high-energy puppies.

I needed to make big changes to give my dogs the life they deserved.

Knowing how impactful my massage therapist had been in my own healing journey, I chose to follow their recommendation and seek the most thorough training I could afford.

I attended Massage Therapy Institute of Colorado and completed their 900 hour program while rebuilding my home and self-care routine.

I was forced to become my better self.

I ran my crazy hyper puppies at 5:30am, meal prepped for the entire day, practiced yoga, stayed attentive in class from 9-5, and worked full time as well.

Staying balanced was incredibly difficult that year.

Beanie and Charlie made sure I didn’t mess around.

They would destroy my shoes and furniture on the occasions that I did not give them the exercise and play that they needed. (Ask me about the Birkenstocks, its a great story.)

I finished the program with great grades, passed my national exams the first attempt with flying colors.

I stuck with my good habits, kept investing in my education:

In 2016 I finished a 200 hour yoga teacher training with AXIS Yoga.

In 2017: 500 hour Pilates teacher training with Club Pilates.

In 2019: Level One Thai massage training in Chiang Mai, Thailand.

In 2021: I won “Best Local Massage” in Salem, Oregon in the Statesman’s Journal.

In 2022: I was teaching yoga 5 days per week at Common People Yoga, helping the studio earn “Best Yoga Studio” in the Willamette Valley.

In 2022, I completed BUTI yoga teacher training (not booty..BUTI, check it out, it’s a fun workout)

I know first-hand how difficult it is to fully embody your best self.

I know the struggle.

I helped keep a spa, a chiropractor’s office, and a yoga studio operating during the Covid pandemic while maintaining my own practice and office.

I met the man of my dreams and we share a common dream of homesteading and taking care of those around us.

We chose to move to the Big Island of Hawaii for growing our favorite foods: bananas, coffee, cacao, and coconuts.

We’re currently restoring a 7.5 acre animal sanctuary. It’s my biggest challenge yet.

My mission is to create a community stronger than bamboo and a place of holistic healing where all beings may find grace, joy, and relief from suffering.

If you’re on the Big Island, let’s connect.

(Must love dogs, though.)
